Redefining Greek Stereotypes
Since 2017
Since 2024, all chapters of Phi Gamma Delta have replaced the traditional "pledge period" with Foundations of Courage.
Our new brothers are now initiated within a few days of accepting their bids. Through FOC, they learn more about the fraternity's history and values and their brothers. FOC emphasizes equality and inclusivity among all brothers, including our newest.
Near the end of FOC, new brothers are paired with a mentor who acts as a lifelong "big brother".
